The first launch goes out before the color leaves. You paddle the calm side of the bay as the sky burns down behind the Balboa Peninsula, easy the whole way, no experience needed.
The last band of color.
The color is still fading off the water, oranges and pinks and purples, not gone yet. The bay goes quiet underneath it, the calmest it gets all day, and the tour starts to feel like it belongs to you.
Then it goes full dark, and the water lights up.
Once it does, the green off the LEDs cuts straight through the clear hull, and you can see down to the sand and whatever moves across it. This is the one people come back for.

You paddle a clear, LED-lit kayak with a guide for about an hour, from golden hour into full dark, and no kayaking experience is needed.
